S.A.M. Interview on WAVE 3 News
Four years ago, Dawne Gee and WAVE 3 news found out about Sam’s illness and the work that we were doing as a family to find matching bone marrow donors for her and all the other patients needing life-saving transplants. As part of their “Pass the Cash” program, WAVE 3 gave us $300 to help cover the cost of testing marrow donor registration kits, and their generous contribution helped us to sign up more potential life saving donors.
Although she didn’t find a match for a transplant, Sam is doing well today and our family is still passionate about registering as many donors as possible. Dawne did a follow-up story on us last week, and we are so grateful for her help in spreading the word about Sharing America’s Marrow! Thanks Dawne and WAVE 3!
