Monthly Archives: April 2015

No way we already made it to Boston, Mass! That means we’re 17 states, 51 cities, and over 5,000 miles in to the SAM 2015 Hero Tour! Taylor is thrilled to be back on her stomping grounds (she’s a Boston College alum) and we’re all excited about the many events we have this week. Check […]

Connecticut! The state that’s hard to spell until you remember that it’s just connect-i-cut! We spent a mere 24 hours in this state so we don’t have too much to say about it except we swabbed heroes at a YMCA, ate at its oldest restaurant, and consumed the best frozen yogurt in 3 months!

Concrete Jungle

Someday I’ll remember to post these graphics on time… New York City, you were a peach! Or, an apple? Cause of the Big Apple…get it? We got to spend time with our friends at Delete Blood Cancer this past weekend and we swabbed up some more potential donors with them at the New York Stock […]

In Memory…

Today we are reminded again how fierce cancer is. We are extremely saddened by the loss of Bill Meadows. We will be sending lots of love and prayers to Bill’s family and friends and we will continue to fight cancer in his memory. Last week, our parents registered 141 potential donors at the local YMCA […]

We’ve been zipping in and out of New Jersey for the past week, swabbing at Richard Stockton College and Rutgers. We’re looking forward to being at Princeton tomorrow (10-2 in Frist) and Seton Hall on Wednesday (10-2 in University Center). Then it’s goodbye Garden State hello NYC! NO SLEEP TIL BROOKLYN!

Oh hayyy PA

Wasssuppp, Pennsylvania!! We’ve had a splendid time registering donors at UPenn, Drexel, and Frankford Hall. We’ll be bidding PA adieu tomorrow and heading back to New Jersey. Celebrating almost 3 months on the road! We are both rejuvenated and full of adrenaline and shells of humans

#BBN Helping #SAM!

It’s pretty sweet when former University of Kentucky basketball player and current Philadelphia 76er, Nerlens Noel gives your organization a shout-out!! Thanks for showing that #bbn Kentucky love all the way in Philly and thanks for helping us spread the word about the need for more donors, Nerlens! Here’s his post below: “Want you to check this out. Sharing America’s Marrow […]

We’re in Delaware!

We had a lovely Easter weekend relaxing in Delaware (a state none of us had ever been to). We swabbed kind beer-drinkers at Dogfish Head Brewery, made a delicious home-cooked meal in a home someone let us borrow, and drove to Dover just to see what was up. What was up was a cool coffee […]

Can’t believe that we’ve already traveled to 10 states (plus Washington, D.C.) and 35 cities in a little over 2 months. Now it’s marrow madness in Maryland! Today we signed up students at Towson with the help of some amazing student volunteers and tomorrow we’ll be swabbing at University of Maryland at the student union […]
