If you have been following our journey, you have probably heard of Maggie. If you haven’t, Maggie is our Sprinter Van that served as our home, mobile headquarters, hideaway, confessional booth, closet, kitchen, and the only constant in a year of change.
The van was always a mess, full of gas station junk food wrappers, shoes, and random stuff we picked up along the way (cat butt magnets, a cowbell, national park patches, etc.). The outside of Maggie was always beautiful though, wrapped with our logo and map with our route (designed by the amazing team at strADegy Advertising). She got a lot of attention as we drove down the road and we registered a lot of people who saw the van and wanted to know how to help!
Unfortunately Maggie wasn’t ours to keep. After driving over 24,000 miles and finishing our 50 state journey, we had to turn her back in. It was definitely an emotional goodbye, as we were saying goodbye to the year and our journey as well. That van will always hold a special place in our hearts. We thought we were best friends before, but that van forged a bond between the three of us that can never be broken.
We miss you already Maggie! Check out this article about ole’ Maggs that was featured in Inc. Magazine!
